How to make methi muthia?

Today, we are going to share an interesting recipe - Steamed Methi Muthia or Steamed Methi Mutake. This is the recipe for preparing Steamed Methi Muthia Recipe 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup soaked Bengal gram Dal (Chana dal)

  • 4 cloves garlic

  • 1 green chili

  • ½ tsp cumin seeds (jeera)

  • ½ cup finely chopped fenugreek leaves (Methi)

  • Rock Salt

Method

  • Grind the dal, garlic, chili, and cumin seeds together without adding any water.

  • Transfer in a bowl.

  • Add chopped fenugreek and salt and mix well.

  • In a steamer, add water and cover.

  • Brush oil on a plate.

  • Using your fingers, place dal and fenugreek mixture on the greased plate leaving some space in between.

  • Put the plate in the steamer and steam them. Serve with fresh chutney.

Storage/serving suggestion 

Methia muthia are best when eaten fresh.
