My Diabetes Story
I never imagined that a routine health check-up would change my life. I had no symptoms—no tiredness, no weakness—just a family history of diabetes, as my father had it. So, when my reports showed I was diabetic, I was completely taken aback.
It was just a regular check-up, nothing out of the ordinary. But from that moment on, everything changed. I was determined not to let diabetes take charge of my life, and I began exploring my options.
How was FFD introduced and what made me choose it?
My husband’s friend told me about Freedom from Diabetes (FFD). Curious and hopeful, me and my husband attended a session.
We liked the approach and enrolled in the annual program HTP.
Reversal Story
The FFD team studied my case in detail and designed a tailor-made plan.
What followed was nothing short of a transformation.
Within just 4–5 months of joining, I became completely medicine-free. My HbA1c dropped from 7.2 to 5.8—Without any medication. My weight also came down significantly, from 80 kg to around 70 kg, and now stays between 69 and 71.
More than just numbers, the change I felt was deeply personal. Earlier, I used to feel tired and sluggish. Now, I feel active, energetic, and genuinely good—there’s a world of difference.
I didn’t rely on diet alone. I embraced physical activity with full enthusiasm—practicing yoga, dancing to Zumba, and staying as active as I can. While I am still figuring out my athletic identity, I am loving the process of exploration.
My transformation has not been just physical. The Inner Transformation sessions with Ms. Udita brought a big emotional shift in me. I was very stressed during the lockdown—that is when I was diagnosed. But now, I feel much calmer and more centered. Though I did not open up much in the sessions, they helped me handle stress better. I also practice meditation regularly.
