Hi, I’m Manjeet Patil from Pune. At 37, I was overweight, out of shape, and stuck in unhealthy habits. Today, I’m 14 kg lighter, more active, and confident thanks to structured guidance, discipline, and strong family support. Here’s my story.
Key Takeaways
- Lost 14 kg in 75 days (from 72 kg to 58 kg)
- Waist size reduced from 94 cm to 83 cm
- Built healthy, sustainable eating habits
My Story
At the start of 2025, my weight had crept up to 72 kg, putting me in the obese category for my height. My waist measured 94 cm, and I was living on a diet of sweets, bakery items, fried snacks like samosas, misal pav, and frequent cups of tea, often 4–5 times a day, each with snacks.Working in an MNC, tea breaks every hour or two made it even harder to resist.
I knew I had to change. While browsing Instagram, I came across Freedom from Diabetes (FFD) and attended their information session. The structured, scientific approach to weight loss appealed to me, so I signed up immediately.

Transformation Journey
The changes were drastic. I cut out sweets completely, stopped junk food, and followed my FFD diet plan with full commitment. My wife played a lion’s share in this transformation preparing smoothies, ensuring meals matched the guidelines, and keeping me on track.
In just 75 days, I dropped 14 kg going from 72 kg to 58 kg and reduced my waist by 11 cm. My weight has now plateaued, but I can occasionally enjoy sweets without guilt.
Fitness & Lifestyle Shift
After losing weight, my focus has shifted to muscle gain.
I’ve started gym workouts and continued my clean eating plan. Muscle building has been slower than I expected, but my coaches assure me it’s a gradual process.
I’m considering hiring a personal trainer for faster progress.
