My Diabetes Story

My diabetes diagnosis was completely unexpected. I did not have a family history of diabetes, and the condition was discovered only because my dentist suggested getting my blood sugar checked.

When the tests came back, my HbA1c was above 9, and my blood sugar levels were quite high.

At that time, I had started experiencing tiredness and low energy, though I had not connected these symptoms with diabetes earlier.

After the diagnosis, I was prescribed multiple medicines, including Dymicron (initially 60 mg, later reduced to 30 mg) along with Metformin 500 mg tablets. In total, I was taking four tablets every day.

How I Discovered FFD

While searching for ways to manage diabetes better, I came across Dr. Pramod Tripathi’s videos on social media and YouTube.

I watched several of his videos and found the approach very practical and logical.

The idea of reversing diabetes through lifestyle changes instead of depending entirely on medicines resonates strongly with me.

My goal was clear: reduce medicines and bring my body back to a healthier state.

That’s when I decided to join the Freedom From Diabetes program.

My Reversal Journey

When I joined the program, my fasting blood sugar was around 167, and my HbA1c had previously been 9.2.

With the structured guidance from the FFD team, I started following the diet protocols, lifestyle corrections, and health monitoring recommended in the program.

Gradually, my numbers began to improve.

Today, my HbA1c has come down to 5.6, which is a huge improvement compared to where I started.

My fasting blood sugar also reduced from 167 to around 118.

Along with the improvements in sugar levels, my medicines have been reduced significantly.

Earlier, I used to take four tablets daily, but now my medication has been cut down to almost half, with only evening medicines continuing for now.

My weight had fallen to around 57 kg at one point, and even when I joined the program it was still quite low.

With proper guidance from the FFD team, I gradually improved my weight gaining from 62 kg to 66 kg. 

Now my BMI has increased from around 20.9 to 22.3, which is a much healthier range.

I also joined the gym and started focusing on muscle building and body composition improvement.

My muscle mass has increased, and my overall strength and energy levels are much better now.

I recently started gym training, and while it is still a work in progress, I am gradually developing it as part of my lifestyle.

My current focus is on building muscle and improving body composition, while reducing excess body fat gradually.
