My Diabetes Story

My diabetes was diagnosed unexpectedly in 2007 during gallbladder removal surgery. From there began a long journey of insulin, medicines, and fatigue.

I also developed high blood pressure, and eventually, complications like LVH (heart artery thickening).

I have a family history. My father was diabetic, and my mother had BPso the odds were stacked against me. But I was determined to find a better way.

How I Found FFD

During the COVID lockdown, a friend from FFD’s Batch 63 told me about the program. I was intrigued by the idea of reversing diabetes without medicines.

I watched Dr. Pramod Tripathi’s videos and joined right away. The timing was perfectI was working from home and could give full attention to the protocols.

Reversal Journey

My starting HbA1c was 9. I used to take 24 units of insulin daily (12 in the morning, 12 in the evening).

With FFD’s protocols, I completely stopped insulin within just 1 month! HbA1c: Came down from 9 to 5.0. Even now, it stays between 6.2–6.4.

Weight Loss: I dropped from 86 kg to 67 kg a 19 kg loss. Later, due to work stress and schedule shifts, I regained some weight.

My current weight is around 77 kg.

Medicines

  • Cholesterol: Reduced (still on Rosuvas occasionally for palpitations)
  • BP: Stopped taking Helicase 2.5
  • eGFR improved to 73

Athletic Identity & Physical Activity

My job is mostly sedentary and long hours (8 AM to 6 PM) make workouts tough. But I stay active in my own way:

  • Occasionally walk on a treadmill
  • Used to enjoy long-distance cycling and athletics during school and college
  • I still try to move whenever I can

Inner Transformation & Mental Wellness

Though I couldn’t attend many IT sessions live, I did practice meditation and yoga regularly. The benefits have been huge:

  • My focus has improved significantly
Even a few minutes of meditation a day has helped me stay grounded.

Current Lifestyle & Reflection

After my initial reversal, going back to the office made things harder. Long hours, family responsibilities, and less flexibility meant my weight and sugar levels rose slightly. But I’ve never given up.

Now, I’m back on track. I’ve regained discipline, lost 12–13 kg again, and feel stronger and more confident.
