My Diabetes Story

My diabetes journey began almost 23 years ago when I developed gestational diabetes. After delivery, instead of resolving, it slowly transitioned into long-term diabetes.

I was on oral medications for many years, and in the last 10 years, I had to start insulin, reaching up to 20 units daily.

There is diabetes in my family. My father is diabetic so I always knew I had a higher risk. But the challenges still felt overwhelming.

Over the years, I experienced weight gain, skin issues, and the constant stress of managing a chronic condition while running a household.

Life felt heavy not just physically, but emotionally.
