I’m Adhishesha Ramkumar from Chennai. I’m a 54-year-old engineering professional working in the oil and gas industry, a high-pressure, travel-heavy profession. My health journey took an unexpected turn during a routine medical check, where I discovered I had diabetes. That moment, though surprising, became a wake-up call and the start of a new, healthier chapter in my life.
Key Takeaways
- Diagnosed with diabetes through an annual check-up (HbA1c: 7.2)
- Reduced diabetes medication by 50% in 4 months
My Diabetes Story
I had no obvious symptoms no excessive thirst, no weight change. Just fatigue now and then. My diabetes was discovered during a routine medical test at work.
With no strong family history (my father was diagnosed only at 80), the diagnosis at 54 took me by surprise.

At that point, my HbA1c was 7.2, and I was started on 1000 mg of diabetic medication daily morning and evening. I knew I had to make changes.
How FFD Entered My Life
It was my son-in-law who first introduced me to Freedom from Diabetes. He had joined the program and benefitted immensely.
Seeing his transformation and hearing about the structured, scientific approach, I was encouraged to try it myself.

Reversal Progress & Lifestyle Changes
Once I joined FFD, the first 4 months were energizing. I followed the program sincerely and started noticing real results:
- Weight loss
- Better stamina
- Improved sugar levels
I proudly shared my progress with friends and colleagues and even recommended FFD to several of them.
Though my job involved constant travel, I did my best to follow the protocols. Even with 70–80% consistency, I saw a reduction in medication from 1000 mg to 500 mg daily, a win that keeps me motivated.
Challenges on the Journey
Balancing FFD with my demanding job was tough. The frequent travel and odd working hours made it difficult to stay 100% committed.
But I didn’t give up. I adapted where I could, made healthy choices when possible, and kept the FFD principles in mind throughout.

I know I haven’t reached full reversal yet but I’ve made solid progress, and I’m confident I’ll get there.
Inner Transformation – Yet to Explore
I was interested in joining the Inner Transformation (IT) sessions, but couldn’t fully engage due to time constraints.
I hope to return to the program in a more focused way once my work situation stabilizes.
I truly want to give it another shot with 100% dedication this time.

Current Lifestyle & Reflection
Today, I feel more in control. My energy levels are up, my medication is down, and I’m more aware of how daily choices impact my health. The FFD structure gave me tools I can apply for life even if I couldn’t always follow them fully.
