My Diabetes Story
Despite living a healthy lifestyle and regularly practicing yoga, my sugar levels silently escalated. I never experienced major symptoms but my weight loss was visible.
Friends and colleagues began asking, “Why do you look so weak?” A blood test revealed the truth: my HbA1c had hit 10.8.
The number shocked me. Still, I refused to take medication. I had seen my mother start with tablets and end up dependent on insulin. I didn’t want to repeat that story.
How I Found FFD and Why I Joined
Years ago, while I was posted in Goa, my family doctor had once mentioned Dr. Pramod Tripathi’s name. At the time, I didn’t act.
But years later, a Facebook video by Dr. Tripathi reignited that memory. I was already feeling the pressure of rising sugars and declining health.
This time, I took the leap and joined FFD’s HTP Batch 108 in June.

Reversal Without Medication
My goal wasn’t full reversal at firstI just wanted to avoid medicines. With FFD’s multidirectional approach diet, yoga, fasting, inner transformationI saw my sugars drop fast.
Within six months, my HbA1c fell to 6.6. I never touched diabetes or cholesterol medicines. I was able to bring it under control through discipline alone.
My Athletic Identity – Rooted in Yoga
Yoga has always been my strength. FFD helped me enhance it. I could do 24–36 rounds of Surya Namaskar at one point during the program. Fasting and work responsibilities disrupted consistency, but I plan to get back to daily practice, especially after retirement.
Current Lifestyle and Reflection
My current weight is stable between 61–62 kg. During fasting, it touches 59 kg and bounces back. People tell me I look more vibrant and healthier now. Occasionally, a meal out with my son spikes my sugars but I’ve learned how to bring it back with diet, yoga, and routine.
Inner Transformation Experience
I attended a few sessions sincerely, especially meditations. But with a school to run, including hostel and mess management, I couldn’t complete the whole series.
My son often says, “If you had done more IT work, you’d be at 5.5 HbA1c by now.” I agree. Once I retire this January, I plan to go deeper into this aspect.
Looking Forward
I’ve already paid for the Annual Care Program for 2025. I may not attend every session, but I will continue to live the lifestyle. FFD is now a part of me and I know I’ve only scratched the surface.
