My Diabetes Story 

I always knew I was at risk because my mother had diabetes. In 2017, I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic.

Things escalated after COVID in 2021 my sugar levels shot up, and I had to start medication.

Along with diabetes, I developed acidity, chest burning every few days, lethargy, leg pain, and gradual weight gain, peaking at 85 kg.

How FFD Entered My Life 

In August 2024, a friend’s transformation inspired me to join FFD. Initially, I was skeptical and even thought it might be a scam.

Within just one month of joining, on September 15, 2023, I stopped all my diabetes medication.

My Diet Transformation

I eliminated junk food, replaced white rice with red rice, gave up refined sugar, and even replaced sugar in tea and coffee with palm jaggery.

I reduced portion sizes, avoided snacking, and stuck to FFD’s principles even while travelling for work. Millet-based options in cities like Bangalore and Hyderabad helped me maintain discipline on the go.

Athletic Identity

While I don’t hit the gym, my daily 45 minutes of brisk walking, stair climbing, and travel-friendly workouts like push-ups keep me active. I never use lifts or escalators, no matter where I am.

Inner Transformation 

I haven’t yet attended the Inner Transformation sessions or practised meditation, but I manage stress through awareness, discipline, and structure. The mindset shift towards long-term lifestyle change is my biggest gain.

Current Lifestyle & Reflection

At 43, I see this as my “new normal.” I avoid high-sugar fruits like mangoes and jackfruit and plan to maintain this medicine-free lifestyle for decades to come.
