  • Diabetes medicines reduced from 3 to 2

My Diabetes Story

When diabetes began affecting my health, I started experiencing body pain, tiredness, and knee discomfort, especially while doing farm work.

Even simple physical tasks would leave me feeling exhausted very quickly.

There was no family history of diabetes, which made the diagnosis even more surprising for us.

Over the years, my condition progressed, and I eventually had to start insulin along with multiple medicines to control my sugar levels.

At the time of joining the program, my HbA1c was around 11, which was extremely high.

How I Discovered FFD

My son discovered Freedom From Diabetes through YouTube.

He was watching videos by Dr. B.M. Hegde, where he mentioned Dr. Pramod Tripathi and the work being done at Freedom From Diabetes.

After that, my son attended a Discover Reversal Session (DRS) conducted by Dr. Pramod Tripathi. That session completely changed our understanding of diabetes.

Until then, we believed what most people say that diabetes can only be controlled with medicines and never reversed.

But through the seminar, we learned that diabetes can actually be reversed through the right lifestyle changes.

That is when my son decided to enroll me in the Freedom From Diabetes program.

My Reversal Journey

When I joined the program, I was taking insulin daily around 18 units in the morning and 8 units at night, along with three diabetes medicines.

With the guidance from the FFD team and by following the recommended lifestyle changes, my health started improving gradually.

Over the next six months, I was able to completely stop insulin.

This was a huge milestone for me.

Along with stopping insulin, my diabetes medicines also reduced from three tablets to two within about 10 months of the program.

My HbA1c improved significantly from 11 to 6.5, which was something we had never imagined earlier.

Apart from blood sugar improvements, several other health markers improved as well.
  • Cholesterol reduced from 239 to 154
  • Liver health improved significantly
  • Thyroid levels normalized
  • Liver enzyme SGPT reduced from 51.3 to 23
Earlier, doctors had even suggested medicines for thyroid and liver problems, but after following the FFD lifestyle, these parameters returned to normal and those medicines were not required.

Overall, I started feeling healthier and more energetic compared to before.

Weight Loss & Physical Changes

At the beginning of the program, my weight was around 87 kg.

Over time, through lifestyle and diet changes, I lost around 4 kg, bringing my weight down to 83 kg.

Though the weight loss was gradual, my energy levels improved, and my overall health felt much better.

Athletic Identity

Because I am a farmer, my work itself involves a lot of physical activity.

Along with that, I also started following FFD exercise protocols like yoga and fat-loss exercises.

Recently, I also developed an interest in stationary cycling, although knee pain limited my ability to do it consistently.

In the future, I plan to focus more on cycling, walking, and yoga as part of my regular routine.

Challenges Along the Way

During the last few months, our family went through some difficult personal situations, including the loss of a close family member and a surgery in the family.

Because of these unexpected events, it became difficult for me to follow the FFD protocols consistently for a while.

I also had a knee injury that required surgery, which temporarily restricted my movement.

However, once I recover fully, my goal is to get back on track and continue improving my health.

Current Lifestyle & Reflection

Even with the challenges, the improvements I have experienced through the program have been very encouraging.

Stopping insulin and improving my reports has given me confidence that I can regain full control over my health.

With continued support from my family and the FFD team, I look forward to reducing medicines further and improving my health even more in the coming years.
