My name is Chitra Venkatesan, I am 64 years old and live in Chennai. I am currently a retired homemaker, fully focused on my family and grandchildren.
I never imagined I had any health issues because I was always active, managing household responsibilities and taking care of my family. But, a random BP check at home changed that, and that moment became the starting point of my journey with Freedom From Diabetes (FFD).

- Weight reduced from 82 kg to around 69 kg
- Stopped Diabetes meds in 4 months
- Successfully cleared IGT
- Cholesterol reduced from 550 to 152
- Knee pain and back pain significantly reduced
- Energy levels improved drastically
- Medicines gradually stopped under medical supervision
My Diabetes Story
My journey began unexpectedly at home. It was a random BP check at home when I found out that my BP was around 200/110.
I did a routine blood check and found my HbA1c to be 12.2 and my triglycerides were also quite high.
What surprised me most was that I had no symptoms at all. I was always actively managing home, taking care of grandchildren, and constantly busy throughout the day.
I never thought I could have diabetes or BP issues because I felt healthy and energetic.
But the reports told a completely different story.
How I Discovered FFD
Around two years before this diagnosis, I had seen Dr. Pramod Tripathi’s videos on YouTube.
I was impressed, but at that time I had no health issues, so I did not pay much attention.
After my diagnosis, my son suggested exploring structured lifestyle programs instead of increasing medication.
That is when we revisited FFD and decided to join the program after attending the Discover Reversal Session.
I entered the program with one clear goal: To improve my health naturally and reduce dependency on medicines.

My Reversal Journey
At the time of joining, my HbA1c was 12.2, which was extremely high.
I started on medications including Glycomet and combination tablets like Jodians.
Under FFD guidance, I followed a structured plan including:
- Regular meals
- Lifestyle modifications
- Basic physical activity as per capacity
- Dietary awareness
Within three months, my HbA1c dropped to 6.4.
What made this journey even more powerful was that under doctor supervision, my medications were gradually reduced and eventually stopped as my reports improved.
Along with sugar control, multiple health improvements followed:
- Cholesterol reduced from very high levels (~550) to 152
- Triglycerides normalized
- Thyroid levels stabilized
- Weight reduced by around 13 kg from 82 kg to 69 kg
- For the first time, I felt that my body was responding positively and naturally.
Physical Transformation & Energy
Before FFD, I often experienced:
- Knee pain
- Back pain
- Fatigue
- Difficulty climbing stairs
At one point, even walking felt uncomfortable due to knee pain. But after the program:
- Knee pain reduced significantly
- Back pain improved
- Energy levels increased
- I started climbing stairs regularly again
- I feel much lighter and more active
Earlier, I used to feel tired easily and needed frequent rest. Now, I feel I can complete tasks without exhaustion.
Lifestyle Changes
I did not follow anything extreme. The focus was on consistency and awareness.
Some key changes included:
- Eating more mindfully
- Following structured meal timing
- Increasing basic physical activity
- Stair climbing as daily exercise
- Chair-based modified Surya Namaskar
- Even simple actions like climbing stairs became part of my recovery process.
Current Reflection
Today, I feel more energetic, more aware of my body.
My confidence in managing my health has increased exponentially and I am less dependent on medicines.
I still continue to follow what I learned, and I strongly believe consistency is the key.
