My Diabetes Story
My diabetes was diagnosed during a routine company health check-up in 2019–2020.
My fasting blood sugar was around 145 mg/dL, and when I underwent an HbA1c test, it came back at 8.8.
My fasting blood sugar was around 145 mg/dL, and when I underwent an HbA1c test, it came back at 8.8.
The surprising part was that I had absolutely no symptoms. I never felt sick, tired, or unwell.
The only reason I knew I had diabetes was because of the blood test.
My fasting sugars were usually around 130–135 mg/dL, and my post-meal readings were often between 220 and 230 mg/dL.

I do have a family history of diabetes through my father’s sister, but otherwise no one in my immediate family has the condition.
From the very beginning, I decided that I wanted to avoid allopathic medicines if possible.
I started managing my diabetes through diet, exercise, and weight reduction, and over the next few years I was able to bring my HbA1c down from 8.8 to 6.8 on my own.

How I Found FFD
I came to know about Freedom From Diabetes through my colleagues.
Dr. Pramod Tripathi had visited our company many years ago and conducted health sessions there.
A few of my colleagues had joined FFD, and they spoke very positively about the program and their results.

One of them strongly recommended that I attend an FFD Discover Reversal Session.
I searched online, attended a webcast conducted by Dr. Pramod, and immediately felt that this was the right path for me.

The biggest reason I joined was that the program emphasized natural healing and lifestyle changes rather than immediately depending on medicines.

My Reversal Journey
When I joined FFD, my HbA1c was 6.8.
Although I had already improved significantly on my own, I had been stuck between 6.8 and 7.0 for nearly three years and was unable to reduce it further.

After joining the program, my HbA1c gradually came down to 6.2, and I believe it will come even closer to 6.0 in my next test.
The biggest changes in my health were:
- HbA1c reduced from 8.8 to 6.2
- Lost 12 kg (82 kg to 71–72 kg)
- Cleared GTT
- Built better muscle strength and energy
- Improved sleep quality
The FFD team did not ask me to lose more weight because my weight had already reached a healthy range.
Instead, the focus shifted toward blood sugar control, mineral balance, strength building, and sustainable habits.

Athletic Identity
One of the most meaningful transformations in my journey has been discovering my athletic identity.
Before joining FFD, I had never done more than 5–10 Surya Namaskars. I thought performing 108 was impossible for someone like me.
Today, my activity routine includes:
- 108 Surya Namaskars
- Daily walking
- Yoga-based exercise
- Trekking and nature walks
I completed 108 Surya Namaskars on 21st May and have since continued practicing sets of 25, 50, 75, and more.
I now consider myself a yogic practitioner.

Fast For Freedom Experience
I did not participate in Fast For Freedom because my FFD doctor advised me not to lose additional weight.
Instead, I focused on the nutritional pattern recommended by the team, especially the morning juice-based routine and overall dietary discipline.

Inner Transformation
I did not require one-on-one sessions with an FFD psychologist because my doctors felt that my emotional and mental health was already stable.
However, I regularly practice pranayama and meditation for 30 minutes to one hour every day.
My early morning walks to Pashan Tekdi in Pune have become a form of meditation for me.
Being surrounded by nature helps me stay calm, positive, and mentally refreshed.

Current Lifestyle & Reflection
Today, I wake up around 5:00 AM, walk regularly, practice Surya Namaskars, meditate daily, and usually sleep by 10:00 PM.
The biggest change FFD brought into my life was not just lowering my blood sugar—it was changing my habits.
The program gradually transformed the way I eat, exercise, sleep, and think about health.

I now feel energetic throughout the day, and I no longer see diabetes as something that controls my life.
