  • Age - 63 Years Young
  • Profession - Homemaker

Hello, I’m Mrs. Trupti Baxi from Ahmedabad. I’ve lived with diabetes for over 30 years. I was diagnosed in 1992, before the birth of my second child. With both sets of parents having diabetes, I always knew I was at high risk. Still, the reality of managing it wasn’t easy, especially with related issues like BP, cholesterol, and uric acid.

Key Takeaways:
  • Earlier dependent on insulin, now completely medicine-free
  • HbA1c reduced from 10.0 to 7.4 in 6 months
  • Lost 13 kg, (from 90 to 77 kg) in 6 Months

My Diabetes Story

My diabetes journey began in 1992, during my pregnancy. With both my mother and mother-in-law diabetic, the condition ran strongly in my family.

Over the years, I also developed BP, cholesterol, and uric acid issues. Eventually, I needed insulin to manage my sugars.

How FFD Was Introduced

In 2020, my sister’s friend told me about FFD. At that stage, I wanted two things: better HbA1c control and weight loss.

Most importantly, I wanted to be free from insulin.

Reversal Story

FFD’s structured approach worked for me. Within a short time, I was able to stop insulin completely.

That alone felt like a huge relief. My HbA1c, which was once as high as 10.0, dropped to 7.4.

I lost around 13 kg while on the program, though sustaining that weight loss has been challenging.

With age and lifestyle factors, I’ve regained some of it back. As I’ve realized, there isn’t a permanent formula; it requires continuous effort and discipline.

Athletic Identity

I haven’t reached the point of embracing a strong athletic identity yet. Weight loss and consistent fitness remain areas I am still working on.

Current Lifestyle & Reflection

Looking back, joining FFD was a good decision because it helped me get off insulin and improved my HbA1c.

However, I do feel I haven’t been able to fully sustain my weight loss and fitness. I also wish the support was more tailored at times.

Still, I’ve learned valuable lessons: diabetes control is about constant awareness, small daily actions, and not giving up even when progress feels slow.

Key Quote
