My Diabetes Story

I was first diagnosed with diabetes in 2008, but like many, I didn’t take it seriously. I had no symptoms and continued to manage my home, teach shlokas, and handle everything as usual.

The real alarm came in 2021 when I was hospitalized with COVID. That’s when my HbA1c showed a shocking 11.

I was immediately put on 2000 mg of diabetes medications. While those brought my sugar down to around 7–7.5, they also caused frequent hypoglycemia.

Now, thanks to FFD, I’m down to just Glycomet 500, one tablet after lunch and dinner.

How FFD Entered My Life

One evening, while relaxing with my family, my husband came across a video by Dr. B.M. Hegde, who mentioned Dr. Pramod Tripathi and FFD.

That sparked our curiosity. I joined Batch 79.  At the time, I weighed 105 kg. My motivation wasn’t just diabetes, it was to feel lighter, move freely, and be able to live fully again.

Through guidance from my FFD doctor, mentor, diet, and exercise experts, I began making changes.

Even while attending functions in Chennai, I stayed committed to FFD protocols.

Exercise & Physical Activity

I had a leg injury in 2016, which made exercise difficult. My FFD exercise expert guided me to do what was possible.

I joined Habild Yoga, then began walking in the pool in Jamnagar based on my Mumbai doctor’s advice. My joint strength and confidence have improved since.

Now I am staying in Jamnagar. Though I sometimes miss my routine while visiting my native place, I always come back to my practice. I’m not yet fully athletic, but I’m active and consistent within my limits.

Inner Transformation

Though I don’t journal, I meditate 3–4 times a week and listen to motivational talks. When sugar readings weren’t improving, I’d feel low.

But my son reminded me, “Amma, accept things as they are.” That mindset shift, nurtured through FFD’s Inner Transformation, gave me emotional strength.

Current Lifestyle & Reflection

My fasting sugar is now around 125. I’ve become more conscious of food, lifestyle, and energy. I rejoined FFD in Batch 116 because I realized the power of regular motivation and support. I now wear regular-sized clothes, something that once felt impossible.
