My Diabetes Story
 

My journey with diabetes began in 1998. I was experiencing pain and breathlessness, which led to a medical check-up and a diabetes diagnosis.

My mother had diabetes too, so I had a family history. Initially, I had no typical symptoms like hunger or fatigue, but the disease quickly took over my life.

I was soon put on 46 units of insulin at night and 16 in the morning, along with several oral medications. This routine lasted for many years.

How FFD Entered My Life

In 2021, during a visit to my daughter’s home, she introduced me to a lecture by Dr. Pramod Tripathi. That one lecture changed everything. It was July, and the very next day, I started following FFD protocols with full sincerity.

Reversal Story

The changes were incredible. I immediately stopped all dairy and non-veg items, farsan, bread, butter, and even dry fruits. I maintained proper meal timings and began to feel the difference.

Within just two months, I was completely off insulin. Eventually, all my oral diabetes medications stopped too. I had weighed as much as 111 kg earlier, and with FFD protocols, I dropped 28 kg. Even now, I maintain a disciplined diet and feel significantly better.

Exercise & Physical Activity

Despite my age, I was very active physically:

  • Climbed 200 stairs, 3 times a day
  • Walked for 1 hour daily
  • Cycled for 15–20 minutes
  • Practiced push-ups, stretching, and nitric dump exercises
  • Swam for an hour daily

All of this changed my body and mind. Though I never swam professionally, I embraced it as a lifestyle.

Current Challenges & Resilience
 

Recently, I had cataract surgery and am on post-op restrictions. I also face occasional asthma and have undergone knee replacement and spinal issues. Despite these challenges, my faith and spirit keep me strong.

I continue to maintain a clean diet and practice adapted exercises from FFD like chair pranayama and bed stretches.

Though I haven’t formally attended IT sessions, I practice yoga and pranayama three times a week. These include kapalbhati, anulom-vilom, and breath-holding exercises. They help me remain calm and mentally strong.
