My Diabetes Story
My diabetes diagnosis happened during COVID, around 3–4 years ago. Both my parents have diabetes, so there was already a strong family history.
Before diagnosis, I was overweight and also dealing with multiple health concerns including:
- Diabetes
- High blood pressure
- High cholesterol
I also had fatigue, low immunity, and frequent infections.
One major issue I noticed was that whenever I got a cough or respiratory infection, it would take a very long time to recover.
One major issue I noticed was that whenever I got a cough or respiratory infection, it would take a very long time to recover.
I used to fall sick easily, and my body just didn’t seem to bounce back quickly.
That made me feel that something was clearly not right with my overall health.

How was FFD introduced and what made me choose it?
At that time, I was already on multiple medications:
- Diabetes medicine (Metformin 500 mg)
- BP medicine
- Cholesterol medicine
I had started thinking seriously about my long-term health.
Everyone around me kept saying that prolonged dependence on these medicines was not ideal.
When I came across FFD and saw that diabetes reversal was possible through lifestyle change, it gave me hope.
I decided to join the Discover Reversal Session, because I wanted to focus on fixing my health at the root cause.

My Reversal Story
When I joined FFD, my HbA1c was around 6.7 with medicines. Today, my HbA1c is around 5.6 without any diabetes medication.
My reversal happened gradually:
- Diabetes medicine stopped in 11 days
- Cholesterol medicine stopped in 4 months
- BP medicines took longer and were fully stopped in around 9 months
- This was a huge breakthrough for me.
Before joining, I genuinely believed that once medicines start, they can never be stopped.
- That belief was deeply ingrained.
- Even my father used to tell me not to stop BP medicines.
But through FFD, I learned that for many people, lifestyle changes can significantly improve or even reverse these conditions.
That mindset shift itself was life-changing.
Other Health Improvements
The improvements went beyond sugar numbers.
Blood Pressure
Earlier, my BP readings would frequently stay above normal levels. Now, after lifestyle correction, my readings consistently remain under control.
Liver Health
- My liver markers were also elevated before joining.
- SGPT was 76.2 (significantly elevated)
- Later improved to nearly 34, which came back to near normal
Although scans may still show some fatty liver changes, my numbers and symptoms improved significantly.
Energy & Immunity
Earlier:
- I used to feel sleepy after lunch
- Had lower stamina
- Fell sick easily
Now:
- Post-lunch sleepiness is gone
- Energy levels are much better
- Recovery and immunity have improved significantly
Weight Loss Transformation
Weight was one of my biggest concerns.
Before joining, my weight was 100+ kg. Today, I am around 83 kg. That’s a reduction of over 17 kg.

My weight gain was largely driven by:
- Poor food awareness
- Processed food habits
- Lifestyle issues
- Diabetes-related metabolic challenges
- FFD completely changed my understanding of food.
I learned:
- Importance of whole foods
- Avoiding processed foods
- Salads and fresh foods
- Importance of fasting and meal timing
I also read The Obesity Code, which reinforced many of the same principles I was learning in FFD.
My Athletic Identity
My fitness routine is simple but consistent.
I focus on:
- 20,000 steps daily
- Weight training at home on alternate days
- Dumbbell workouts
- Light resistance training
I also use small home exercise equipment and follow strength-based workouts.
Earlier, I used to lift heavier weights at the gym, but after noticing elevated creatinine levels, I switched to lighter home-based training.

Now I mostly train with:
- 2.5 kg weights
- 5 kg weights
This approach works better for me and is sustainable.
Inner Transformation Journey
I did have one session with Udita Ma’am. At that time, one of my concerns was managing high BP and work stress.
She suggested breathing techniques, which I found surprisingly effective.
Whenever my BP would rise, practicing the breathing exercises helped bring it down.
Now, since my BP is mostly stable, I don’t need to use them as frequently.
But that experience taught me the connection between stress, breathing, and physical health.
Current Lifestyle & Reflection
Today, I continue to follow
- One meal a day (OMAD)
- Intermittent fasting
- Walking
- Home strength training
I have also become far more conscious about health priorities.
Before this journey, I was like most working professionals focusing more on career and routine life.

Now I understand that health cannot be negotiated.
My next personal goal is to reduce my weight further to 75 kg.
