How I Lost Over 19 Kg, Reduced My BP Dependency, and Finally Started Prioritizing Myself
I Slashed A Whopping 19 Kg in Just 3 Months With FFD!
- Name - Mrs. Indrani Pal
- Age - 50 Years Young
- Profession - Principal, Kindergarten School
- Place - Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
I am 50 years old and work as the Principal of a kindergarten school in Visakhapatnam.
Unlike many participants at Freedom From Diabetes, diabetes was not my biggest concern.
My battle was with obesity. In fact, obesity has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I was overweight as a child, overweight as a teenager, overweight as an adult, and eventually became what doctors would classify as morbidly obese.
Along with that came hypertension, low confidence in my body's abilities, and the constant fear of what obesity could lead to in the future.
Today, I have lost over 19 kg, become more active than I have been in years, and most importantly, learned how to take care of myself without guilt.
Key Takeaways
- Reduced weight from 115 kg to 96.8 kg in 3 months
- Lost 4 kg during Fast for Freedom challenge
- Significantly improved energy levels
- Reduced dependence on BP medication
- Started cycling, yoga, and regular exercise
- Experienced deep emotional healing through Inner Transformation sessions
My Obesity Story
I was not diabetic when I joined the program.
My sugar levels occasionally touched around 125, which may have placed me in the prediabetic range, but obesity and hypertension were my primary concerns.
The truth is, I have struggled with weight for most of my life.
Even as a child, I was much heavier than other children my age. While my classmates weighed around 30–35 kg, I was already close to 60 kg.
Over the years, the weight kept increasing.
Over the years, the weight kept increasing.
By the time I joined Freedom From Diabetes, my weight had reached nearly 115 kg
The weight itself was difficult, but what worried me more was the impact it was beginning to have on my health.
I had been started on blood pressure medication and knew I needed to make a serious change.
How Was FFD Introduced to Me and What Made Me Choose It?
I first came across FFD through the Fast for Freedom challenge. Instead of directly enrolling into the program, I decided to test myself first.
I wanted to know whether I could actually follow the protocols and whether this approach would work for someone like me.
That first Fast for Freedom became a turning point. In just nine days, I lost around 4 kg.
More importantly, I felt lighter, more energetic, and more hopeful than I had in a long time.
That experience convinced me that perhaps this journey was different. So I joined the full program.
My Reversal Journey
When I started my journey, my weight was around 115 kg. Today, I weigh 96.8 kg.
Crossing the 19 kg weight-loss mark felt incredible. Of course, like every journey, there were phases when progress slowed down. There were plateaus.
There were moments when I wondered why the scale had stopped moving.
There were moments when I wondered why the scale had stopped moving.
But the difference this time was that I did not quit. I had support.
My diet experts, exercise experts, and doctors constantly guided me through those difficult phases.
One of the biggest victories was seeing improvements in my blood pressure.
I gradually stopped taking my BP medication and have continued monitoring my health under guidance.

Another major transformation was my energy.
I have always been an energetic and cheerful person by nature, but after losing weight and improving my lifestyle, my energy levels became noticeably higher.

I felt lighter. I moved better. Simple daily activities became easier.
Even yoga postures that once seemed difficult gradually became possible.
Today I can comfortably perform Dhanurasana, something I never imagined doing when I was carrying much more weight.
Inner Transformation Experience
While weight loss was important, one of the most powerful transformations happened emotionally.
For years, I had silently carried emotional stress, family responsibilities, and unspoken feelings.
My Inner Transformation sessions became a safe space where I could finally open up.
Through journaling, reflection exercises, and meaningful conversations, I began expressing emotions I had buried for decades.

Through journaling, reflection exercises, and meaningful conversations, I began expressing emotions I had buried for decades.
One realization hit me hard. Sometimes, emotional stress was contributing to my weight struggles more than I had ever acknowledged.
Learning to express myself instead of carrying everything internally became incredibly liberating.
Those sessions helped me heal in ways that had nothing to do with the weighing scale.
Athletic Identity
One thing I never imagined saying is this: I became a cyclist.
Cycling became one of my favorite activities. On good days, I would comfortably cycle between 7 and 11 kilometers.
Along with cycling, I regularly practice yoga, strength exercises, and Surya Namaskars.
I have completed up to 24 Surya Namaskars in a single session. Even today, I continue following the exercise routines provided by my FFD experts and remain committed to staying active.
Current Lifestyle and Reflection
What makes FFD special is not just the science. It is the people.
Every expert I interacted with treated me with patience, kindness, and genuine care.
Nobody ever forced me. Nobody judged me. They simply guided me.
That support helped me stay consistent even during difficult phases like shifting homes, managing work responsibilities, and navigating personal loss.
Today, I know my journey is not over. I still have goals ahead of me. I still want to lose more weight and become fitter.

But I no longer see health as a destination. It has become a lifestyle. And for the first time in my life, I truly believe that I can sustain it.
