My Diabetes Story 

I’ve always been proactive with annual health checkups, especially with both parents being diabetic. In June 2023, one such check hit hard my HbA1c was 8.3.

I had no symptoms, but the high number and family history made it Clearly had to act.

Though I briefly took one strip of diabetes medicine, I never wanted to be dependent. Having seen my mother on insulin four times daily, I was determined to find a different path.

How I Found FFD
 

I came across Dr. Pramod Tripathi’s videos on YouTube and was struck by his clear, science-backed explanation of insulin resistance. His approach felt different, logical, holistic, and practical.

I spent nearly 8–9 months researching the FFD program, watching success stories, and attending sessions before joining Batch 109 in June 2024.

Reversal Journey

At the time of joining FFD, I weighed 95 kg. My health parameters were all off sugar, cholesterol, insulin, TSH. In less than a year, I turned everything around without long-term medication:
  • HbA1c dropped to 5.2
  • Weight dropped to 70 kg
  • Cholesterol and insulin levels normalized
  • Energy levels improved drastically
And all this while adjusting the plan to suit my needs. For instance, I couldn’t tolerate raw smoothies, so my diet expert helped shift to steamed/boiled alternatives.

Millets replaced white rice, and I slowly let go of sugar, tea, coffee, and non-veg.

Lifestyle Shift

Before FFD, I loved sweets200 grams of them daily. I also ate erratically, thanks to hectic travel schedules and client work. Now, my routine is structured:
  • I walk 30–40 minutes in the morning and another 20–30 minutes after dinner
  • Meals are millet-based and well-portioned
  • I feel full, energized, and no longer crave junk

Athletic Identity

While I haven’t joined a gym yet, I’m active daily. I plan to take my fitness up a notch by joining Cult and restarting cycling. I’ve also resumed Surya Namaskars and light yoga, with a goal to keep progressing.

Inner Work & Emotional Strength

Though I haven’t taken formal Inner Transformation sessions, I draw from my personal yoga background and practice meditation 2–3 times a week. Nature helps, tooI live opposite a park and often go there to reflect and recharge.

This daily connection to movement and mindfulness has helped me stay emotionally strong and focused throughout this journey.

Reflection

What made FFD stand out was that everything diet, exercise, medical support was explained scientifically. I didn’t just follow blindly. I understood why I was doing each thing. That awareness made all the difference.
