My Diabetes Story
Diabetes runs deep in my family — my father, my brother, my uncle — most of the men in our family have dealt with it. For many years, I managed it without much trouble.
But in 2021, everything changed. I contracted a severe case of COVID-19 and was admitted to the ICU for a long and challenging recovery.
The steroids and emergency treatments caused my blood sugars to shoot up uncontrollably.
Things didn’t settle even after recovery. Then, in 2024, I had a heart attack and had to undergo an angioplasty. That’s when I knew — something had to change. Not just a little, but drastically.
How I Found FFD
During my recovery, I started looking for better solutions—not just to manage my diabetes but to heal. That’s when I found Dr. Pramod Tripathi’s videos on YouTube.
Around the same time, some colleagues from the corporate world who were part of FFD encouraged me to explore it. Their stories gave me hope. I joined the Holistic Transformation Program in 2024.
My Reversal Journey
When I joined FFD, I was on 10 units of insulin a day, and my HbA1c was at 11. My body was exhausted. But within 3 to 6 months, something amazing happened — I was completely off insulin.
My HbA1c dropped to 7.5, and I felt the difference, not just in numbers but in my day-to-day life.
I also lost over 13 kilos, going from around 77 to 63 kg. Although I was never considered obese, I always carried extra weight.
Losing it made me feel lighter—physically and mentally—and gave me a fresh sense of control over my health.
Lifestyle Changes That Worked
Before FFD, I followed the “usual” Indian diet—rice, rotis, dal, and sabzi—with no major restrictions. I avoided sweets but never really understood the impact of daily carbs.
After joining FFD, my entire food philosophy shifted. I cut down on rice and wheat, switched to low-carb meals, and started my day with nutrient-rich smoothies. That change alone helped regulate my sugars.
Movement & Exercise
Despite my heart condition, I committed to daily movement. I now walk regularly and follow a light gym routine suited to my capacity.
I didn’t attempt fasting protocols since they were not recommended for me, but the rest of the program worked wonders.
Inner Work
I didn’t attend many Inner Transformation sessions, but I meditate daily. After all the health scares, I realized how important the mind is in healing. Meditation gives me space to pause, reflect, and stay emotionally grounded.
Where I Am Today
I’m slowly working towards reducing oral medication
I exercise, walk, and meditate daily And most importantly, I feel in charge of my health FFD gave me clarity that I had never received before.
I had always been told to “eat everything in moderation” — but it never worked. With FFD’s approach, results came quickly. That changed everything — not just my numbers, but my mindset.
Today, I live with a new level of discipline and confidence, knowing that even after a heart attack and post-COVID complications, a better, healthier life is still possible.
