My Diabetes Story

My diabetes diagnosis happened unexpectedly when I was admitted to the hospital due to a blood clot in my leg after an injury.

During the hospital tests, doctors discovered that my HbA1c was 9.3, and that was when I was officially told that I had diabetes.

Until then, I had no clear symptoms, except for occasional low energy. Hearing the diagnosis was naturally a bit frightening, but I accepted the situation mentally and decided that I would deal with it calmly.

How Was FFD Introduced and What Made Me Choose It?

I came to know about the Freedom From Diabetes (FFD) program through a friend’s reference.

Earlier, during the COVID period, I had also seen close family members struggle with health issues, which made me realize how important it is to take proactive care of our health.

When I learned about FFD, I felt that instead of worrying mentally about diabetes, it would be better to seek structured guidance and work towards improvement. That is what motivated me to join the program.

My Reversal Story

When I joined the program, my HbA1c was 9.3. I had started taking a diabetes tablet for about 15 days, but once I began following the program protocols, my medicines were stopped within 10 days.

Over time, my reports improved significantly and my HbA1c reduced to 5.3, which gave me a lot of confidence that lifestyle changes can truly make a difference.

In terms of weight, I initially reduced from 80 kg to around 70 kg, though later there were some fluctuations.

Despite that, my blood sugar parameters have remained under much better control.

Lifestyle Changes and Learnings

Through the program, I was introduced to several important lifestyle practices including fasting, dietary discipline, and stress management.

I also attended a few inner transformation sessions, where I learned the importance of practices like meditation and journaling. These practices helped bring a shift in mindset and awareness towards health.

Even though my journey has had some ups and downs, the most important change has been the confidence that lifestyle improvements can influence diabetes outcomes.

Current Lifestyle & Reflection

Due to my earlier leg injury, my physical activity sometimes needs to be moderated, but I still try to stay active whenever possible.

I focus on maintaining a healthier routine and continuing the habits I learned during the program.

One thing that stood out throughout my journey is the supportive nature of the FFD team.

Whenever guidance was needed, the team responded quickly and helped me stay on track.
