My Story

My diabetes journey began in October 2016, during a routine annual health check-up. With time, my blood sugars kept climbing and became difficult to control.

Eventually, I was on 70 units of insulin every morning, 55 units at night, and daily medicines for diabetes. In 2017, cholesterol tablets were added too.

How FFD Was Introduced to Me

I discovered Freedom from Diabetes through Facebook and attended an online session on 19th December 2019.

The first session left a deep impression on me. I realised there was indeed a way to break free.

Reversal Story

The results were nothing short of a miracle. Within just 10 days of joining, I was completely off insulin – all 125 units of it.

My diabetes medicines stopped within 28 days, and my cholesterol tablets were gone in 30 days.

Along the way, I shed 21.9 kg, dropping from 98 kg in December 2019 to 76.1 kg by May 2020.

Four months later, with stable blood sugar levels, I began reintroducing foods I had avoided for years –

white rice idlis, masala dosas, full rice meals with sambar and rasam, poha, upma, and even fruits like bananas, oranges, papaya, apples, and mangoes.

To my amazement, my 2-hour post-meal sugar readings stayed below 140 every single time.
 
Today I follow full day water fasting on ekadasi days, twice a month to keep my weightloss sustained at a reasonable level.

Athletic Identity

Daily exercise became a non-negotiable part of my routine. Combined with the FFD diet, it played a huge role in my transformation.

Half-Marathon at chennai- 3 times so far & cycling upto 36 kms in one stretch were added lifestyle changes apartment from regular gym workout for 60-75 min daily.

Walking 7500 steps per day is my new normal.

Current Lifestyle & Reflection

Today, my HbA1c is a healthy 5.6, and I feel confident about enjoying a variety of foods without fear. The structure, support, and science of FFD have completely changed my relationship with health.
