I am Sandip Kumar Mukhopadhyay, 50 years old, from Navsari. My Story

During a corporate health check in my office, I was told that I was pre-diabetic.

My HbA1c was 6.7, I weighed 80 kg, and reports also revealed thyroid issues, Grade 2 fatty liver, and reduced kidney function (eGFR at 67).

Although I had no family history of diabetes, these results were alarming. I realized I had to act before my health deteriorated further.

How FFD Was Introduced

Through my company, L&T, I learned about FFD’s corporate wellness initiative for weight loss and diabetes management.

The corporate doctor strongly recommended that I join, as it would not only help with weight loss but also address fatty liver, thyroid, and pre-diabetes.

This advice motivated me to enroll in the program, and it has been one of the best decisions of my life.
 

Reversal Story

Dietary Changes

Before FFD, my meals were heavy rice and fish at lunch, 4 rotis with rice, and a heavy dinner. Under the guidance of my Bengali vegetarian dietitian from Delhi, I shifted to a more structured, plant-based plan:
  • Lighter, regulated breakfast
  • Lunch reduced to 2 rotis, dal, and salad (minimal rice)
  • Smoothies for dinner
  • I found the new diet tasty, healthy, and surprisingly easy to sustain.
  • Fasting Journey
Initially, even skipping one meal felt impossible. But with FFD’s guidance, I gradually adapted to fasting patterns; 48-hour intermittent fasts, juice fasting on Sundays, and meal variations (sometimes only one meal a day).

Over time, my body and mind adjusted beautifully.

Exercise

FFD’s morning Zoom sessions with expert trainers like Paramita Chakraborty kept me consistent.

I diligently updated my logs of meals, weight, and exercise, receiving motivating feedback from Dr. Nabeena N.

Exercise slowly became a routine I look forward to.

I was guided to practice Sheetal Asana and Unasana, which have helped me manage anger effectively. Today, I feel calmer, more balanced, and in control of my emotions.

Athletic Identity

Earlier, climbing stairs felt exhausting. Now, I can climb up to my 8th floor apartment without any difficulty.

My belly fat has reduced significantly. I even fit back into a traditional Kabra outfit I had bought 10 years ago but never wore because it was too tight.

I am now considering developing a runner’s identity, something I never thought possible before FFD.

Current Lifestyle & Reflection

Today, at 68 kg, I feel lighter, more flexible, and more energetic. My target is to reach 65 kg by the end of this month.

The journey that began as a weight-loss attempt has turned into a complete health transformation.

My thyroid and BP remain under control, my liver and kidneys are healthier, and my stamina has greatly improved.

FFD has given me confidence, clarity, and a new purpose to maintain this lifestyle and continue progressing.
