My Diabetes Story
I had been in the prediabetic stage for around three to four years.
My HbA1c generally remained between 6 and 6.5, but I did not want to wait for prediabetes to progress into diabetes.

I was also dealing with high blood pressure, high cholesterol and excess weight.
At 95 kg, my sedentary routine as a banker made regular exercise difficult.
I realised that my lack of consistent physical activity and some negligence towards my health were contributing to the problem.

Although I had no family history of diabetes, I wanted to take charge before my health concerns became more serious.
How I Found FFD
I discovered Freedom From Diabetes through social media.
I had seen several health programmes before, but FFD gave me the confidence that I could actually achieve my goals if I committed to the programme.

The structured approach motivated me to join HTP and take action instead of simply waiting for my prediabetes to worsen.
My Reversal Journey
When I joined FFD, my HbA1c was around 6.5%.
Because of my higher HbA1c, I was prescribed Glycomet 500 by a doctor and took it for about three months. I then became free from diabetes medication.

My weight also changed significantly. I started at 95 kg and brought it down to around 86 kg, losing nearly 9 kg.
Later, a hand injury affected my ability to exercise consistently, and I regained around 2–3 kg. I am now around 88–89 kg and working towards becoming active again.

My health reports showed encouraging improvements:

- Waist: 42 inches to 38 inches
- Creatinine: 1.5 to 1.02
- eGFR: 75 to 95.10
- hsCRP: 7.29 to 2.5
- SGPT-SGOT ratio: 1.32 to 0.86
I also stopped my cholesterol medication after about a month. My cholesterol is still something I am working to bring completely within range. I have not required hypertension medication.
Fast For Freedom
I participated in Fast For Freedom for the first time during my FFD journey. Over the nine-day fast, I lost around 2–3 kg.
The experience also brought noticeable changes in my body.
I felt improvements in my energy, digestion and sleep, while my waistline reduced significantly from 42 inches to around 38 inches.

Inner Transformation
I have not had a one-on-one session with a psychologist, but I am part of Legends Group 6. I practise meditation occasionally, although not as regularly as I would like.
Athletic Identity
My exercise routine was interrupted by a hand injury.
Before the injury, I was working towards becoming more active, and I am now trying to gradually regularise exercise again.

As a banker with a largely desk-based routine, I have realised how important regular movement is.
My goal is to become more consistent with exercise and build a healthier, more active lifestyle.

Current Lifestyle
Today, I am much more aware of the importance of movement, exercise and taking responsibility for my health.
Although my weight increased slightly after my injury, I know what is possible when I follow the right approach.

For me, the biggest achievement has been moving away from the fear of becoming diabetic and actively working towards better health.
I am now focused on regaining consistency, becoming more active and continuing my transformation.
