Hello, I am Sushil Rai, a 47-year-old Software Engineer from Noida.
I have been living with diabetes for nearly 15 years. Like many working professionals, I stayed busy with work and travel, took my medicines regularly, and assumed that was enough.
Everything changed when my blood sugar suddenly spiraled out of control, leading to hospitalization with diabetic ketoacidosis. That incident became the turning point that made me realize I needed much more than medicines.
Today, my HbA1c has dropped from 11.2 to 6.2, my medication has been reduced by half, my energy is back, and I finally understand how to manage diabetes through the right lifestyle.

Key Takeaways:

  • Diabetes medication reduced from 2000 mg/day to 1000 mg/day
  • Lost unhealthy fat while maintaining a healthy weight

  • Reduced leg pain, laziness, and fatigue
  • Built sustainable food and exercise habits

My Diabetes Story

My diabetes was diagnosed almost 15 years ago.

The first signs were quite obvious. I started losing weight unexpectedly and had frequent urination.

Since my father also had diabetes, my wife who is a doctor quickly recognized the symptoms and advised me to get tested.

Initially, I managed the condition with medication, but over the years, work pressure, frequent travel, and irregular eating habits slowly took over.

Although I knew I should eat better, I often ignored it and continued with unhealthy food choices.

The real wake-up call came last year.

I developed severe diarrhea, was hospitalized, and suffered diabetic ketoacidosis.

My blood sugar shot up dramatically, and I had to start insulin along with high-dose diabetes medication.

That experience made me realize I couldn't keep managing diabetes casually anymore.

How was FFD introduced and what made me choose it?

My wife had been following Dr. Pramod Tripathi's educational videos since the COVID period and often explored healthier ways of eating.

After my hospitalization, we started applying some of the dietary principles we had learned from those videos. Within a month, we noticed encouraging improvements.

That gave us the confidence to officially join the Discover Reversal Session.

I wasn't looking for a quick fix. I wanted to understand what was actually happening inside my body and learn how to control diabetes naturally alongside medical supervision.

My Reversal Story

When I joined FFD, my HbA1c was 11.2.

Within a month, it dropped significantly. Over the following months, it continued improving until it reached 6.2.

Although I still take diabetes medication, the dosage has reduced substantially. Earlier, I was taking Metformin 1000 mg twice daily (2000 mg/day).

Today, I take only 500 mg twice daily (1000 mg/day). For me, that reduction itself is a huge milestone.

Beyond the numbers, my relationship with food has completely changed.

Earlier, I ate almost everything without much thought. Today, I understand the importance of eating the right food, at the right time, in the right quantity.

My digestion has improved considerably, unhealthy body fat has reduced, and I no longer experience the constant laziness and heaviness that used to affect my daily life.

Even my leg discomfort has reduced dramatically.

Whenever I stay consistent with my lifestyle, I genuinely feel energetic throughout the day.

Athletic Identity

Before joining FFD, I believed that doing excessive cardio was the answer. In fact, I had pushed myself so much that I ended up with multiple injuries.

FFD completely changed my perspective. Instead of overtraining, I learned the importance of exercising intelligently.

Today, I regularly go to the gym with a focus on building muscle, perform structured exercises, and include walking and strength training as part of my routine.

I also learned the value of pre-meal and post-meal movement, which has become an important part of my diabetes management.

Current Lifestyle & Reflection

One of the biggest changes has been the way my family now eats. Since my wife prepares the meals, both of us follow the same healthy routine together.

Even my friends have started adopting many of the habits I learned through FFD after seeing my progress.

The regular follow-ups from doctors, dietitians, and exercise experts have also helped me stay accountable.

Earlier, I used to avoid blood tests because I was afraid of seeing poor results.

Today, those reports motivate me to stay disciplined. Instead of fearing the numbers, I now use them as feedback to keep improving.

FFD didn't simply help me reduce my blood sugar. It completely changed the way I understand health.
