What disturbed me most was that there was no family history of diabetes. I was mentally unsettled and immediately started medication as prescribed by my doctor.
How Was FFD Introduced and What Made Me Choose It?
A close friend told me about Freedom From Diabetes and explained the concept of reversing diabetes through lifestyle changes, including clearing the Glucose Tolerance Test (GTT).
That idea gave me hope. I joined FFD to understand whether diabetes could be managed scientifically without lifelong dependence on medicines.
My Reversal Story
When I joined FFD, my HbA1c was 7.8, and I was on diabetes medication (one tablet of 500 mg).
Along with lifestyle correction, medicines were gradually tapered under medical supervision.

Within six months, I was completely off diabetes medicines. Over time, my reports stabilized, and my HbA1c came down to 6.5.
My doctors reassured me that this was well within a safe range, and my goal now is to consistently bring it closer to 5.5.

Weight & Physical Health
Unlike many others, weight loss was not my challenge. My weight remained stable at around 60 kg, with a BMI of 19.5, which is healthy for my age.
Doctors advised me to focus on muscle strength and fitness, and I have been working on improving that through regular exercise.
Mental & Emotional Transformation
One of the biggest improvements I noticed was in my mental health. Before joining FFD, I struggled with low confidence, stress, and mental fatigue.
Through inner transformation sessions, meditation, and guidance from the psychologist,
I learned how to declutter my mind and focus only on what truly matters. Meditation, journaling, and breathing practices are now part of my daily routine.

Athletic Identity
Before diabetes, exercise was never part of my life. Today, yoga and regular exercise are non-negotiable.
I have gradually built my strength and have successfully completed 45 Surya Namaskars, something I never imagined I could do at this age.
FHR & Learning Experience
I have attended the FFD Health Retreat (FHR) twice, and both experiences were deeply refreshing.
The sessions brought positivity, clarity, and renewed motivation.

Listening to Dr. Pramod Tripathi reinforced my belief that diabetes can be managed effectively when lifestyle takes priority.
Current Lifestyle & Reflection
Today, I live with discipline and awareness. I follow structured food habits, practice yoga and meditation, and manage stress consciously.
FFD taught me that diabetes management is not just about numbers, it is about mindset, consistency, and responsibility toward one’s own health.
