My Diabetes Story
My health challenges began around 2009–2010, following a brain surgery. After that phase, multiple issues surfaced together diabetes, blood pressure, and liver problems.
Before surgery, doctors used to say my HbA1c was “inching towards diabetes” 5.8, 5.9, 6.0 but I believed exercise and diet would keep it under control. Unfortunately, after surgery, everything went haywire.
Diabetes was not unexpected. My mother had severe diabetes, so I always knew it would come someday.
How Was FFD Introduced and What Made Me Choose It?
FFD came into my life through a close family connection. My wife’s sister’s husband, (co-brother in law) Kiran Vasanth, had completed the program and lost nearly 15 kg.

My Reversal Story
When I joined FFD, my HbA1c was around 6.6 to 6. With structured lifestyle changes, my diabetes medicines tapered and stopped within 6 weeks.
At one point, I had stopped all medicines completely. Unfortunately, after a long stay in India with uncontrolled eating habits, my sugars went up again and medicines were reintroduced briefly.
After returning to protocol and attending TRP, I am once again completely medicine-free, with blood sugars well controlled.
With FFD, I initially lost 17 kg, dropping from 85 kg to around 68 kg.
In December 2024, I fractured my leg and was put on morphine. Physical activity stopped for almost 9 months, and my weight climbed back to 78 kg.
That setback pushed my wife and me to attend the 8-day TRP at Hidden Oasis, Pune, which helped us reset our lifestyle, food habits, and mindset.

I have practiced Fast for Freedom (water fasting) three times. Each time, I lost 4 kg and felt lighter and clearer.
FFD taught me discipline but also reminded me how quickly old habits can return if discipline slips.
Inner Transformation & Mindset
I already practice meditation daily. While I didn’t pursue Inner Transformation sessions deeply, I did notice a major improvement in positivity, mood, and mental clarity after joining FFD.
Interestingly, strangers have recognized me as an FFD participant just by seeing my physical transformation.
