My Diabetes Story

My diabetes was diagnosed during my annual health checkup nearly 15 years ago.

I had no symptoms, but the numbers revealed the truth. There is no significant family history except my grandmother, so this came as a surprise.

Being a doctor, I understood the seriousness immediately and started managing it medically. But medicines alone were not the answer I was looking for.

How FFD Entered My Life

In 2019, a relative casually mentioned a seminar by Dr. Pramod Tripathi in Mumbai. I attended out of curiosity.

What struck me most was the clarity with which he explained physiology, metabolism, and insulin resistance in a way that was scientific yet simple.

There was no false promise, no guarantee of reversal, only honesty and data. That transparency made me join.

My Reversal Story

The First Breakthrough (2019 Batch)

Within 10 days of enrolling, I was advised to stop diabetes medicines. To my surprise, I stayed medicine-free for three full years.

This remains one of my most empowering phases.

The Setback

During COVID, my lifestyle consistency reduced, stress increased, and gradually my HbA1c began rising. I restarted medicines on medical advice.

The Second Attempt (Current Batch)

When I rejoined FFD:
  • HbA1c: 6.8
  • Now: 6.4 (with reduced medicine)
Medicines have come down from two to one, and I maintain good energy levels.

My learning is clear when I follow the protocols fully, the body responds beautifully.

Athletic Identity

Over the years, physical activity has become a non-negotiable part of my life.

Running, in particular, reshaped both my stamina and mindset.

I currently run 4–5 km daily, extend my runs up to 10 km on weekends, and have completed two half-marathons.

Strength training has also been a consistent practice for over two years.

This athletic identity has brought discipline, mental clarity, and resilience into my daily life.

Current Lifestyle & Reflection

Today, my weight remains stable between 62 and 62.4 kg. I feel physically energetic and mentally more at ease.

While I am not currently medicine-free, I no longer see that as the sole definition of success.

What matters more is awareness, understanding how my body responds to food, movement, stress, and rest, and maintaining balance with appropriate medical guidance for long-term safety.

FFD helped me reconnect with fundamentals and apply them with greater mindfulness and respect for my body.

Key Quote

“FFD doesn’t guarantee stopping medicines, but it absolutely guarantees a better lifestyle. And that, in the long run, is far more powerful.”
