My Health Story
I was not diabetic, but my weight had become a serious concern. At 93.3 kg, everyday activities were becoming difficult.
Climbing stairs was painful, and my knees would constantly trouble me.
Climbing stairs was painful, and my knees would constantly trouble me.
Over time, I realized that my lifestyle was the root cause.
My work involved long hours of sitting, and I had developed a habit of stress eating. I had a sweet tooth and often chose foods that satisfied my taste but harmed my health.

After pregnancy, my weight kept increasing steadily, and I knew I had to take control before things worsened further.
How was FFD introduced and what made me choose it?
I came across Freedom From Diabetes through an Instagram reel by Dr. Mallar.
It invited people to attend an Discover Reversal Session, and out of curiosity, I registered.

That session changed my perspective. The concept of moving from being just “thin” to becoming “strong and healthy” really resonated with me.
I didn’t want to just lose weight, I wanted to become physically strong and capable.
That clarity made me join the program.
Reversal Story
I joined the program in September, and within 4 months, I achieved my initial target weight of 79 kg.
Today, I maintain my weight around 78 kg.

One of the most impactful parts of my journey was the fasting protocol.
Initially, I had never fasted, not even for religious reasons. I expected headaches, mood swings, and discomfort.

But surprisingly, the experience was completely different. I felt light, energetic, and in control.
During the 9-day Fast For Freedom fasting challenge, I lost around 2.5 kg, and more importantly, I realized that my body could adapt beautifully.

Along with weight loss, I noticed:
- My digestion improved significantly
- My skin became clearer
- My energy levels increased
Most importantly, my knee pain reduced drastically, which had been my biggest struggle.
Athletic Identity
I have recently started going to the gym, and it has been a game-changer for me. I follow a mix of weight training and cardio on alternate days.
For the first time, I actually enjoy working out. It has become something I look forward to every morning.
While I haven’t formally defined my athletic identity yet, I feel that strength training could become a big part of my journey ahead.

Current Lifestyle & Reflection
Today, I feel much more in control of my health. My weight has been stable for the last few months, even though my diet has become more flexible compared to the initial phase.
I may not be perfectly consistent with practices like meditation, but physically and mentally, I feel stronger and more balanced.
Looking back, the biggest shift was not just in my body, but in my mindset.
I moved from chasing weight loss to building strength and sustainability.
