My Diabetes Story
I was diagnosed with diabetes around 6 years ago during the COVID period. I also have a strong family history.
Both my parents and my husband have diabetes.
Both my parents and my husband have diabetes.
Initially, I was managing it with medication, but over time, my sugar levels kept fluctuating.
My dosage kept increasing, and at one point, I was taking 1000 mg twice a day (2000 mg total).
My dosage kept increasing, and at one point, I was taking 1000 mg twice a day (2000 mg total).
That’s when I realized I needed to do something more than just depend on medicines.
How Was FFD Introduced and What Made Me Choose It?
My daughter, who lives in Tokyo, told me about this program and Dr. Pramod Tripathi. Her friend’s father had done it and lost around 13–14 kg with great results.
I joined with a simple intention: To control my sugar naturally and reduce my dependence on medicines.
My Reversal Journey
When I joined, my HbA1c was around 8.1. With consistent efforts, it came down to 5.9, which was a big achievement for me.
Later, it slightly increased to around 6.5, mainly due to inconsistency but now I understand exactly what I need to do to bring it back under control.
In terms of medication:
Earlier: 2000 mg per day
Now: Reduced significantly (at one point even managed without it for some time)
- That shift itself gave me a lot of confidence.
- I also made major lifestyle changes:
- Stopped eating late dinners
- Focused more on vegetables and balanced meals
- Became consistent with exercise
My Athletic Identity
I wouldn’t call myself an athlete, but I have become much more active than before.
Earlier, I wasn’t very consistent. Now I:
- Exercise 5 days a week
- Go to the gym regularly
- Do weight training, resistance band workouts, and Surya Namaskar
- Walk daily
I follow different activities instead of sticking to just one and that keeps things interesting.
My Current Lifestyle & Reflection
Today, I feel more in control of my health.
I sleep better, feel more energetic, and understand my body much more clearly.
Yes, my weight has plateaued a bit around 80–81 kg, and there are still fluctuations in sugar levels but now I know how to handle them.
One thing I’m proud of is that I’ve inspired at least 10–12 people to start their health journey after seeing my results.
Because of my work, I meet many people and when they ask about my weight loss, I happily guide them.
