My Diabetes Story

I was diagnosed with diabetes during a phase when I was feeling extreme weakness, especially around November–December 2024.

There was no family history of diabetes, which came as a shock to me.

Looking back, I realised that my eating habits had changed significantly over time: frequent sweets, desserts, ice creams to overcome weakness, and irregular food patterns.

These choices gradually caught up with my health. When tested, my HbA1c was alarmingly high at 13.6.

How Was FFD Introduced and What Made Me Choose It?

I had heard about Freedom From Diabetes from multiple sources and eventually had my first consultation with Dr. Pramod Tripathi.

I started diabetes medication under his guidance and simultaneously enrolled into HTP the FFD program to understand whether lifestyle correction could truly help.

My intention was not just sugar control but understanding why my body had reached this state.

My Reversal Story

At the start of my journey, I was on Metformin 1000 mg along with other medicines.

Over time, as I followed the dietary and lifestyle protocols, my sugar levels began stabilizing.

By December, my HbA1c had dropped to 5.3, a number I once thought was impossible.

My cholesterol levels came back within normal parameters, and diabetes medication dosage was significantly reduced under supervision.

Weight Loss & Physical Changes

I started my journey at around 87 kg. With consistent food discipline and lifestyle changes, my weight gradually reduced to 67 kg.
 
Earlier, physical movement felt heavy and tiring.

Today, daily activities are comparatively OK and my relationship with food has changed completely.

Simple meals, controlled portions, and mindful eating have become habits.

Gut Health & Dietary Adaptations

One of my biggest challenges during the program was gut health, especially constipation in the initial months.

Under guidance from Dr. Subodh, my protocol was modified, including stopping smoothies.

This taught me that healing is not linear and that listening to one’s body is equally important.

Inner Transformation & Emotional Healing

My journey has also involved deep emotional layers.

I lost my young 20 yrs old nephew in Pune, in a road accident in 2019 and my father in 2023.

These losses impacted me profoundly, even though I tried to process them rationally.

I did attempt inner transformation sessions and journaling, but consistency was difficult.

Still, the awareness that emotional health and physical health are deeply connected has stayed with me.

Current Lifestyle & Reflection

Today, I am more conscious of my food, my emotions, and my body signals. Still I am facing BP and side effects of its treatment.

While I continue to work with consistency. Pace of the work is slow down certainly.

I acknowledge how far I have come from an HbA1c of 13.6 to stable control.

My next target is of overcome all medicines and have healthy life. 

FFD introduced structure, awareness, and genuine intent into my health journey.

It reminded me that healing is deeply personal and must be approached with patience.
