My Story Before FFD

I had been overweight for as long as I can remember. I followed a vegetarian diet and never indulged in extreme eating habits, yet the extra weight stayed with me.

It wasn’t about a lack of confidence but about wanting to feel better in my own skin, to align my health and appearance with the person I felt I could be.

Social perceptions of overweight people being called lazy or careless also added silent pressure.

Despite practicing yoga and meditation for years, and even teaching pranayama and meditation programs, I couldn’t achieve the sustainable results I wanted.

At one point in my younger days, I had lost weight (down to 63–65 kg) through exercise alone, but over time I regained it. When I joined FFD, my weight had reached 96.6 kg.

How I Discovered FFD

I came across Dr. Malhar Ganla’s reels on Instagram and instantly resonated with his message.

Out of curiosity, I reached out, got connected to the FFD team, and joined the program to understand my body better, shed excess weight, and feel fitter.

My FFD Journey

My journey with FFD has been nothing short of transformative. Within five months, I’ve lost more than 20 kg and currently weigh around 75.7 kg. I’m still on my journey and working toward my target of 65–68 kg.

Key factors in my progress:

  • Breakfast protocol: 50% pulses/cooked dals + 50% raw salads
  • Lunch/dinner protocol: 25% raw component with anti-gravity movements after meals

  • Juice feasting once a week
  • Intermittent fasting with extended fasting windows

How I Feel Now

Despite the massive weight loss, I don’t look weak or ill, something that surprises many people.

I feel energetic, confident, and guided. I haven’t yet done my follow-up lab tests, but I’m sure my health parameters have improved significantly.

Most importantly, I now know what to eat, how to manage my body, and who to reach out to when in doubt.

It’s no longer a dark road; there’s clarity and light ahead.

Inner Transformation

Initially, I thought I didn’t need the inner transformation aspect, as I considered myself mentally stable and positive.

But the exercises and journaling tasks revealed surprising insights. I was harder on myself than I realized, and perhaps even pessimistic in some areas.

These revelations have made me more self-aware and gentler with myself.

The journaling assignments often coincided perfectly with my life experiences, feeling almost divinely timed.

This mental shift has been as powerful as the physical transformation.

Athletic Identity

Right now, my focus is still on fat loss, and I haven’t fully explored my athletic identity.

I do yoga regularly but plan to incorporate strength training and cardio after Navratri, once I complete my fasting phase and move closer to my target weight.

Current Lifestyle & Reflection

I’m registered for the upcoming Fast for Freedom program and plan to follow it even while traveling.

I feel determined, supported, and confident about continuing my journey.

FFD has not only given me direction but also faith in the process and in myself.
