My Diabetes Story
I did not know I had diabetes.
I went for medical tests because of Raynaud’s syndrome, an autoimmune condition where blood circulation in veins gets affected, causing numbness and blackening of fingers.
During these tests, diabetes was detected and my sugar levels were already above 300.

At that time, I was also eating a lot of sweets and ice creams after meals.
Stress from managing health conditions and lifestyle factors added to the problem.
Slowly, diabetes became part of my life along with heavy medication and low stamina.

How was FFD introduced and what made me choose it?
I first came across Freedom From Diabetes online. I was interested but hesitant because the program felt like a significant commitment.
Later, my cousin’s sister completed the program and gave positive feedback.
Around the same time, a colleague from my region also joined FFD. Their experiences gave me confidence.

I joined with one clear intention to become free from medicines.
My Reversal Journey
When I joined FFD, my HbA1c was a shocking 13.5, and I was consuming almost 3500–4000 mg of diabetes medication every day.
My stamina was low, my strength had faded, and my body weight had dropped drastically after the diagnosis.
I felt weak, dependent, and unsure of how to regain control of my health.

Through FFD, I didn’t just get a food plan, I got an education. I learned what to eat, when to eat, and how to balance nutrition with exercise.
I discovered that walking alone is not enough, and that real progress comes from understanding exertion, protein intake, and muscle-building.

Slowly but surely, the changes began to show. My medicine dosage was reduced to around 500 mg.
My HbA1c dropped to nearly 7. My stamina returned. My strength improved. And with every milestone, my confidence grew stronger.

I am not yet completely medicine-free, but I am far healthier, more energetic, and fully in control of my life, something that once felt impossible.
Building Strength and Stamina
Earlier, I had no strength to manage daily activities.
After learning protein-based nutrition and structured exercise through FFD, I joined a gym.
Over the last two and a half years, I have continued regular training.

Last year, at 63, I completed the Valley of Flowers trek, something I could never have imagined earlier.
I don’t call myself athletic. I simply stay active for my own satisfaction and health.
Current Lifestyle & Reflection
FFD gave me something beyond numbers on reports awareness.
Today:
- I understand food patterns
- I know how to respond when sugar fluctuates
- I am mindful of exercise beyond casual walking
- I make conscious lifestyle choices
I still deal with stress and a desire to gain healthy weight. My journey is ongoing.
But I no longer feel helpless or confused about my condition.

That, for me, is real empowerment.
My Experience with FFD
The guidance has been meaningful and practical. The team understands diabetes in depth and provides structured education.
FFD taught me how to analyze my body, not just follow instructions blindly.
