• HbA1c: 6.8% to 5.1%
• Weight: 74.5 kg to 53.5 kg
• Lost 21 kg and 8 inches

• Completed 9 days of Fast for Freedom
My Diabetes Story
I never experienced typical diabetes symptoms such as excessive thirst or frequent urination.
Because I was health conscious, I discovered the problem through regular testing.
After COVID, steroids, dengue and other medicines, my HbA1c gradually increased. It reached 7.1%, and I started taking around 1000 mg of metformin every day.

The thought of being diabetic made me anxious. I wanted to understand whether I could improve my health and eventually come off medication.
How I Found FFD
I had been watching Freedom From Diabetes for several days but was initially sceptical.
I wondered whether the success stories were scripted. After discussing it with my husband, I decided that trying was better than doing nothing.

I attended the DRS and listened to Dr Pramod Tripathi for almost two hours.
For the first time, I heard the concept of freedom from diabetes explained in a completely different way. I was convinced and enrolled within 15 minutes.

I joined around the end of August or beginning of September 2025, in Batch 124.

My Reversal Journey
My HbA1c was around 6.8% when I joined FFD. Within just one week, my metformin dosage was reduced and then stopped completely.
For me, this was the biggest miracle because I could actually experience the change myself.

After three months, my HbA1c was 5.5%, and after six months it came down to 5.1%. I have also cleared my GTT.
My weight transformation was equally significant. I joined at 74.5 kg and eventually reached around 53.5 kg, losing approximately 21 kg overall.
I later regained 1–2 kg, but the transformation remained significant. My BMI changed from around 33.41 to 24.8, and I lost 8 inches.

My uric acid, which had remained high around 7.9, also came down to around 4.6.
Fast for Freedom
My weight loss had plateaued after around 19 kg, so I participated in Fast for Freedom and successfully completed nine days.
It was not easy and required commitment and sacrifice. I experienced low energy during the fast, but after completing it, I felt energetic and active again.
The fasting phase helped me lose another 2.3 kg.

Inner Transformation
I had a one-on-one session with Udita ma’am. I did not feel that I had any major psychological problem requiring further sessions, but I understood an important aspect of diabetes—that health is not only about food and the physical body. Mental health also matters.
Athletic Identity
I have not yet developed a strong athletic identity.
I feel badminton could become that for me, but I have not been able to work on it yet.
At present, I go to the gym for about an hour every day. Due to an ongoing medical situation at home, I have had to prioritise other responsibilities as well.

Current Lifestyle
Today, I am much more active and conscious about my health.
My experience with FFD has shown me that transformation requires a holistic change—not only in what we eat or how we exercise, but also in the way we think and look at life.
I have already referred six people to FFD because they could see my results and transformation for themselves. I also plan to continue my journey through STP.
