My Diabetes Story

My journey with diabetes began a long time ago.  The diagnosis came during a random medical check-up.

I was informed that I had borderline diabetes.

At that time, I was not prescribed any medication, and I continued without treatment for several years.
 
I can also confirm there was no family history of diabetes.

Notably, I did not face any symptoms like fatigue, frequent urination, or excessive thirst commonly associated with the condition.
 
I never took diabetes medications, even after being diagnosed.

However, I was aware of my sugar levels and would check them from time to time.

Over the years, my HbA1c had climbed up to 8, which clearly showed I needed to manage my sugars better. 

How was FFD introduced?

I came across Freedom from Diabetes while watching videos by Dr. B. M. Hegde, a respected figure in integrative medicine. In one of his talks, Dr. Hegde mentioned FFD, and that instantly caught my attention.
 
My goal was not just about managing sugar levels but achieving overall well-being and preventing complications.

Reversal Story 

After joining FFD, and even without following everything 100%, I was able to bring it down to 6.5.

That showed me how powerful lifestyle changes can be.

 
I acknowledge that my HbA1c has been fluctuating recently, mainly because I haven’t been consistently following the FFD protocol.

Work-related stress and pressure have made it difficult for me to stay on track.
 
When I joined FFD, I weighed around 83.5 kg.

Over time, with some conscious effort, I brought it down to about 79–81 kg, depending on fluctuations.

On average, I lost around 3–4 kg, which I consider quite manageable.
 
Although I have not yet explored or clearly identified my Athletic Identity,

I make sure to stay physically active through daily yoga sessions whenever possible, one-hour walks, and by staying on my feet during parts of the day.
 
My journey with FFD has been "excellent" to describe in one word.
