My Diabetes Story

My diabetes was detected incidentally in 2015 when I took my mother for a blood test and decided to get myself tested too.

I had no major symptoms except occasional tiredness, which I initially attributed to age.

Diabetes does run in my family. Both maternal and paternal grandparents were affected yet, like many others, I did not truly understand the condition in its early years.

How Was FFD Introduced and What Made Me Choose It?

I had been hearing about Freedom From Diabetes and Dr. Pramod Tripathi for a long time.

Initially, I took my condition lightly and believed I could manage it on my own.

However, my HbA1c readings remained alarming 13, 12, 10, repeatedly.

That is when I realized I needed a structured, serious intervention.

My brother strongly encouraged me to join the residential program, believing that live learning would make a deeper impact and he was right.

My Reversal & Management Journey

I joined the FFD residential program (Batch 118), and it proved to be a turning point. The experience was deeply inspiring.

Within a week of returning home, people around me noticed visible changes especially in my face and skin.

I followed the protocols very diligently in the first three months. Under guidance from FFD doctors, diet experts, and through the app support, my HbA1c dropped from 13 to 7 within just 3 months.

Later, due to frequent guests, travel, and disruptions in routine, my rhythm broke. Still, the foundation had been laid, and I now know exactly how to regain control.

When I joined, my weight was around 63 kg. With disciplined lifestyle changes, I reached 55 kg, which was a major personal milestone.

Though I had brief relapses due to routine disruptions, I have again brought my weight down to 58.3 kg and am actively working towards stabilizing it.

I enjoy Zumba and stair climbing and am gradually rebuilding consistency with treadmill walking and home workouts.

Inner Transformation & Learnings

One of the biggest takeaways from FFD was understanding how to structure my day, food timing, movement, rest, and stress management.

I also benefited from one-on-one inner transformation sessions, which helped me reflect on my habits and emotional patterns.

I plan to reintroduce meditation consistently, as I have seen how deeply it impacts control and discipline.
