I had lived with diabetes for around 14 years, but I never experienced any dramatic symptoms. What I did experience was something I had almost normalised—tiredness, difficulty moving because of my knees and the limitations that came with Grade 3 arthritis. My journey with FFD showed me that improving my health could also help me move through everyday life with greater ease

My Diabetes Story
I was diagnosed with diabetes around 14 years ago during a general health check-up. Thyroid issues were also detected around the same time.
Diabetes was not completely unfamiliar to me because my father and brothers were diabetic.
I never had obvious symptoms such as excessive thirst or frequent urination. I did experience some tiredness, but while I was working, I naturally assumed it was because of my routine.
How I Found FFD
I came across Freedom From Diabetes through Instagram and other social media platforms.
What made me take it seriously was seeing Dr. B. M. Hegde recommend Dr. Pramod Tripathi. That recommendation gave me confidence in exploring the programme.
I especially wanted to move away from metformin and become less dependent on diabetes medication.

My Reversal Journey
When I joined FFD, my HbA1c was 6.9%. After I started following the programme, my medication was gradually reduced.
Within about two and a half months, I was able to stop my diabetes medicines.
My weight also changed significantly. I started at slightly above 85 kg and reached 62 kg during the nine-day fasting period. I currently maintain around 66 kg.
My health reports showed encouraging changes as well:
• HbA1c: 6.9% to 6.1%
• BMI: 32.79 to 24.54
• hsCRP: 7.2 to 1.4
• TG-HDL ratio: 3.13 to 1.26
• Uric acid: 7.1 to 2.6
• Creatinine: 0.92 to 0.78
Inner Transformation
I have Grade 3 arthritis, and earlier even walking could be difficult.
Losing weight, along with physiotherapy, has helped me become more flexible and made walking considerably easier.
Athletic Identity
Because of my knees, I cannot run or cycle. Instead, I focus on exercises suited to my condition.
I use 2 kg dumbbells, practise knee-friendly asanas, NOD exercises, chair aerobics and chair Surya Namaskar. I have completed 24 chair Surya Namaskars.
Current Lifestyle
I have understood that consistency is the key. I also practise Chakra Balancing meditation and Reiki.
A session with Yati ma’am helped me understand optimistic thinking, time management and the importance of prioritising myself.
