My Diabetes Story
After my diagnosis, I initially tried managing my diabetes without medicines. For almost a year, I was able to manage my sugar levels through my own efforts.
I researched diabetes extensively and made dietary changes, including adding millets to my diet.

However, professional stress eventually affected my blood sugar. My fasting sugar reached around 180.
I consulted a doctor at Apollo Hospital in Guwahati, where I was told that insulin might be required and hospital admission was suggested.

I was not ready to start insulin. I wanted to understand if there was another way to manage my diabetes.
How I Found FFD
While searching for information about diabetes, I came across Freedom From Diabetes through online content. Dr. Pramod Tripathi’s explanations immediately stood out to me.
I found the logic behind the FFD approach convincing, and the patient stories gave me further confidence.

My Reversal Journey
When I joined FFD, my HbA1c was 8.4. With the guidance of the FFD team, I started making structured changes to my diet, exercise and lifestyle.
My diabetes medication was gradually reduced from three doses a day to two and eventually stopped. With medical guidance, I became completely medicine-free within approximately six months.
During the period when I followed the FFD protocol very consistently, my HbA1c came down to 5.9 without medication.
Later, professional transfers and changes in my routine made consistency more challenging.
However, the habits I developed through FFD stayed with me. My morning smoothie has become an important part of my routine, and I make sure my day does not begin without it.

My weight was around 67–68 kg when I joined. Since I was already slim, my focus was not on losing weight but on gaining healthy muscle mass.
My weight reached around 70–71 kg at one point and generally remains around 68.5–70 kg. I have gained approximately 3 kg of muscle mass while maintaining a healthy BMI.

My recent workplace health check-up also showed encouraging results. My TSH improved from 0.56 to 1.07, and my cholesterol was reported to be under control.
Inner Transformation
Before FFD, I spent a lot of time searching for information about diabetes, particularly what I should and should not eat.
The possibility of insulin and hospital admission also created considerable stress.

With structured guidance around food, exercise and lifestyle, I began to understand how I could manage diabetes in a more practical way.
Seeing my own results gave me confidence that these changes were making a real difference.

I also realised that diabetes management does not have to mean living in constant fear or stress.
With the right guidance and consistency, I could continue living a normal life while taking better care of my health.

Athletic Identity
Exercise has always been an important part of my lifestyle. I have been doing Surya Namaskar since childhood, although I had stopped for some time.
After Dr. Pramod Tripathi encouraged me to restart, I brought it back into my routine.

My exercise routine includes Surya Namaskar, stretching, strength training, muscle training and resistance-band exercises. I generally dedicate around 30 minutes to an hour to exercise in the morning.
I have also adapted my exercises according to my work environment. When I cannot perform certain exercises at the office, I use modified movements that I can comfortably do while seated.
Current Lifestyle
Today, exercise, diet and supplements are all part of my routine.
My morning smoothie has become an important part of my day, and I make sure I follow my routine as consistently as possible.

The biggest change is that these habits have become part of my lifestyle rather than something temporary.
I understand the importance of following the protocol, staying active and being consistent with my food and exercise.
