My Diabetes Story
I never had any major warning signs that made me suspect diabetes.
It all started when I visited a doctor for erectile dysfunction.
Along with that, I had dry skin, psoriasis, and occasional itching, but I never connected these symptoms to diabetes.
Along with that, I had dry skin, psoriasis, and occasional itching, but I never connected these symptoms to diabetes.
My doctor recommended a few blood tests including diabetes and lipid profile tests.
That’s when everything came crashing down.
My reports showed uncontrolled diabetes, dangerously high cholesterol, elevated blood pressure, kidney issues, and eventually even diabetic retinopathy.
Further tests revealed my creatinine had gone up to 2.1, and I was also diagnosed with proteinuria.
To make matters emotionally heavier, I already had a family history of both diabetes and kidney disease.
Both my parents had diabetes, and my mother had severe kidney disease and had undergone dialysis before she passed away in 2016.
Seeing similar patterns emerge in my own health was deeply concerning.
At just 42, I felt like my health was spiraling faster than I had imagined.
How was FFD introduced and what made me choose it?
Initially, I used to casually watch reels from Dr. Pramod Tripathi and Dr. Malhar.
Their approach seemed practical and science-backed.
Their approach seemed practical and science-backed.
But when my kidney reports worsened, I knew I had to act seriously. I attended a Discover Reversal Session and started exploring my options.
Like many people, I was confused. Multiple programs were showing up online, and I was unsure what to choose.
But one decision changed everything.
But one decision changed everything.
I decided to commit to just one system fully.
A conversation with Mr. Apoor Sharma from the FFD team gave me the clarity and confidence I needed.
He remained a strong pillar of support throughout my journey. That was the moment I finally enrolled.
My Reversal Story
When I joined FFD, my HbA1c was 8.7. My blood pressure was consistently high, around 170–180/90.
My cholesterol was alarmingly elevated. Creatinine had reached 2.1, which was particularly stressful because of my family history.
I started following the protocols seriously.
I started following the protocols seriously.
My doctor at FFD, Dr. Nikhil, guided me through the process and advised me to first complete Phase 1.1 before repeating all my tests.
The results were unbelievable.
The results were unbelievable.
After just months
- HbA1c dropped to 4.8
- Creatinine reduced from 2.1 to 1.54
- Cholesterol normalized
- Blood sugar readings stabilized
- Diabetes medicines stopped within one month
- Cholesterol medicines were stopped
- My blood pressure also normalized to around 110/70 to 120/70.
My wife says I look like a completely different person. From 83 kg to 61 kg, my transformation has been visible and deeply motivating.
My shirt size has changed from XL to Medium. The only remaining challenge is kidney reversal, and I’m actively working on it with continued support from the FFD team.
Currently, I only continue one medicine; an SGLT2 inhibitor not for diabetes, but as kidney protection support due to proteinuria.
That remains my only health focus now.
My Athletic Identity
Before joining, I never thought I was someone who could consistently exercise. I had always been overweight for most of my life.
But FFD changed that belief. Today, I follow:
- Strength training 3–4 days a week
- Yoga 2–3 days a week
- Daily breathing exercises and pranayama
I can now do:
- 24 Surya Namaskars at a stretch
- 100+ squats
- 100+ push-ups in intervals
I also avoid lifts whenever possible and prefer taking stairs. Earlier, even basic movement felt difficult.
Now, exercise is part of my identity.

Current Lifestyle & Reflection
One of my biggest achievements has been discipline. As someone from Assam, adapting to food changes was not easy.
Our cuisine traditionally includes:
- Non-vegetarian food
- Sweetened curries and dals
- Frequent tea consumption
But I made the shift.
I stopped:
- Alcohol
- Mutton
- Sugary tea
- Regular sweets
Even during a US work trip and conferences with free-flowing alcohol, I stayed committed. Not a single sip.
That level of discipline surprised even me. People around me often don’t recognize me now.
I would like to thank Sanjana Ma'am and Nabeena Ma'am for their help and support

Inner Transformation Learnings
I also attended inner transformation sessions with Udita Ma’am. Breathing exercises and stress-management practices have helped me manage hypertension and emotional stress better.
While journaling was emotionally difficult for me, I still adopted several techniques including:
- Breathing practices
- Meditation
- Mindfulness tools
These practices helped me stay calm, disciplined, and consistent.
