My Diabetes Story
I’ve been in the IT consulting industry for years, and like many others, my diagnosis came during a routine health check-up.
About 13–15 years ago, my sugar levels were consistently in the range of 7.8 to 7.9.
About 13–15 years ago, my sugar levels were consistently in the range of 7.8 to 7.9.
There were no major symptoms. No warning signs. Just numbers on a report that told me something wasn’t right.
I didn’t have a strong family history, just my grandmother, and hers was age-related.
So initially, it didn’t feel alarming. But like most people, I started depending on medication and basic dietary control to manage it.

How was FFD introduced and what made me choose it?
I got to know about the program through a colleague who had attended the Discover Reversal Session.
She kept insisting that I should at least attend once.
She kept insisting that I should at least attend once.
Honestly, it took me almost a year and multiple reminders before I finally decided to check it out.
When I attended the session, what stood out was the clarity.
The way the human body, diabetes, and lifestyle were explained it made complete sense.

I wasn’t 100% convinced at first. Maybe 70-30. But I thought, “Let’s give it a try.”
Reversal Story
When I joined, my HbA1c was around 7.2, and I was taking Glycomet 500 mg twice daily. That was my normal routine.
What happened next honestly surprised me. Within just 3 weeks, I was completely off diabetes medication. Yes, 3 weeks.
I didn’t expect it to happen so quickly. But by following the protocols sincerely, my body responded faster than I imagined.
Over time, my HbA1c dropped to 5.8, and even today, I am maintaining it without medication. It didn’t stop there.
I had issues like fatty liver and cholesterol, for which I was also on medication.
But as my lifestyle improved, everything started aligning. My reports normalized, and I was able to stop those medicines as well.

Athletic Identity
I wouldn’t call myself a hardcore fitness enthusiast. I’m not someone who enjoys the gym. But what changed is consistency.
I started walking regularly, staying active, and participating in marathons. I’ve completed 10 km runs and make it a point to join such events whenever possible.
That shift from inactivity to consistency made a huge difference.
Current Lifestyle & Reflection
One of the biggest lessons I learned is that these are all lifestyle diseases. Diabetes, cholesterol, fatty liver they’re all interconnected.
If you fix your lifestyle, everything starts improving together.
If you fix your lifestyle, everything starts improving together.
Today, I follow a simple approach:
- Eat home-cooked food as much as possible
- Include salads regularly (something I never did before)
- Follow the 20-20-60 food balance rule
- Stay active, even if it’s not intense workouts
I won’t say I’m perfect. Travel and work make it difficult sometimes. But even if I follow it 70% of the time, it works. And that’s the biggest shift it’s sustainable.
Even after completing the program long ago, I continue to maintain my health because the habits have become part of my lifestyle.
