Diabetes runs in my family. My father and grandmother both had it, so somewhere in the back of my mind, I always knew I needed to be careful. Yet life moved on, and despite occasional warning signs, I never imagined that one day my HbA1c would cross 8.

My Diabetes Story
My diabetes journey started gradually.
Back in 2014–15, I developed a frozen shoulder. Around that time, I was found to be prediabetic. I managed to improve my health for some time, but later my blood sugar levels started rising again.
In April 2025, my HbA1c reached 8.5.
Unlike many people, I did not experience dramatic symptoms. Occasionally, I felt thirsty or had cravings, but nothing alarming enough to make me think that diabetes was progressing silently.
The diagnosis was a wake-up call.
How Was FFD Introduced and What Made Me Choose It?
I first came across Freedom From Diabetes in 2016–17 when a doctor recommended that I attend the Discover Reversal Session.
I joined the introductory program and was impressed by the practical, science-based approach.
The fact that the focus was on reversing the root causes rather than simply managing numbers made a lot of sense to me.

After seeing results in the initial phase and even clearing my GTT, I continued with the HTP program.
Deep down, I knew that if I followed the system sincerely, it could transform my health.
My Reversal Journey
When I joined FFD, my HbA1c was 8.5.
Through dietary changes, lifestyle modifications, expert guidance, and consistent follow-up, my HbA1c gradually came down to 5.4.
One of the biggest victories was reversing my fatty liver.
Earlier, I had Grade 2 fatty liver, and my liver size had increased significantly. Today, my liver markers have normalized, and the fatty liver issue has resolved.
Another area where I noticed a positive impact was my hormonal health. I had been living with PCOS since the age of 13, and it had affected my health journey for decades, including delays in conceiving.
Although menopause has now passed, improving my weight, metabolism, and overall health through FFD gave me a sense of control over a condition that had been a part of my life since adolescence.

The improvements were visible beyond my blood reports. My stamina increased, my body felt lighter, and I found myself becoming more active with each passing month.
Activities that once seemed exhausting gradually became enjoyable again.
My cholesterol profile improved as well. My HDL increased, abdominal fat reduced, and many metabolic parameters moved in the right direction.
Another major transformation was weight loss.
I started at 108 kg and gradually came down to 84.5 kg a total loss of 24 kg.
What makes me happiest is not just losing weight but maintaining it successfully, even after travel and social events.
FFD also introduced me to fasting.
I participated in Fast for Freedom for three consecutive times. One of the biggest changes I noticed was the disappearance of constant hunger.
Earlier, I always needed something in between meals; tea, fruits, or snacks. After fasting, those hunger pangs reduced dramatically.

My Athletic Identity
One of the most exciting changes has been my relationship with movement.
Earlier, even basic physical activity felt difficult. My body felt heavy, my stamina was low, and flexibility was limited.
Today, Aqua Gym has become my athletic identity. I regularly participate in aqua workouts and also include walking, yoga, theraband exercises, and occasional Surya Namaskars in my routine.
The difference became very clear during my travels.
During a recent trip to Leh, I comfortably climbed the equivalent of 9–10 floors, walked extensively, participated in activities, and remained active throughout the journey.
Despite the challenging terrain and weather conditions, I felt energetic and capable.

I also visited Barsana, where climbing steps is a major part of the pilgrimage experience.
To my surprise, I completed the climbs comfortably and felt strong throughout.

There was a time when back pain, frozen shoulder, and excess weight limited my movement. Today, those limitations have reduced significantly.
My stamina continues to improve, my strength is increasing, and I feel far more confident in my body's abilities.

Inner Transformation
FFD helped me not only physically but mentally as well.
I attended sessions with the Inner Transformation team and learned something that has stayed with me: choosing a positive perspective.
Over the last few years, I faced emotional challenges and periods of low mood. But gradually, I learned to stop dwelling on things that are beyond my control.
Today, I consciously focus on gratitude.
When diabetes returned, instead of feeling defeated, I felt grateful that I had a proven system to return to.
Rather than seeing health challenges as setbacks, I started seeing them as opportunities to improve.
This shift in thinking has brought tremendous peace and resilience into my life.
Current Lifestyle & Reflection
Today, I feel healthier than I have in many years.
My skin health has improved, my energy is better, my mobility has increased, and my confidence has returned.
The most satisfying part is knowing that these results were achieved naturally through sustainable lifestyle changes.
Even after years of diabetes, family history, PCOD, frozen shoulder, fatty liver, and weight struggles, meaningful change was possible.
Every improvement strengthened my belief that the body has an incredible ability to heal when given the right support.
