My Diabetes Story
I was diagnosed with diabetes around 2005, and since then I had been taking medicines regularly for nearly 19–20 years.
Initially, I started with basic tablets, but over time the dosages kept increasing. Eventually, I was taking six tablets every day, including Metformin 500 mg three times a day.
There was also a strong family history of diabetes. My grandfather, father, and uncle all had diabetes.
My father eventually suffered a stroke followed by a heart attack, which deeply affected me and made me realize how serious this condition could become.
During those years, I often experienced excessive sweating, frequent urination, and constant thirst.

During my time at ISRO, one of my colleagues had attended an FFD program and shared his experience with me.
Later, during the COVID period, I even arranged an online session by Dr. Malhar at our ISRO center to educate employees about healthy lifestyle practices.
